Sam Soter
Jordan High School Teacher
Sam G. Soter
Teaching is my second career having come from industry. I’m in my 10th-year as a licensed educator. I teach, or have taught eight disciplines at Jordan High School: Entrepreneurship, Retailing, Business Management, Business Law, Marketing, Financial Literacy, Computer Technology, Real Estate, and Marketing 1030. Prior to teaching, I owned some of the first cellular accessory stores in the state of Utah (4CD&CELL), the largest Western SPRINT/ CRICKET Distribution firm (ATG WIRELESS) and operated over 20-wireless retail stores in six-states (SYNERGY BUSINESS GROUP). I have a BA from the University of Utah, and an MAT from Westminster College. Outside of work, I have an amazing wife who runs the SAMMY CENTER a non-profit preschool for kids who have experienced a social or emotional trauma and I have two daughters ages 14, and 19 who are my greatest joy!. My other passions include (in no particular order): Hiking, Golfing, Literature, Politics, History, University of Utah Athletics, Cinema, Theater, Music, and Travel.
A fun fact about me: I started my first business at the age of twelve and have on some level, been self-employed, ever since.
